THREE SUBJECTS ARRESTED FOR FELONY ROBBERY

On Friday, September 12, 2008, the Laredo Police Department Crimes Against Persons Division, along with the patrol division, crime scene investigators, and traffic division, arrested three male suspects who earlier had committed two robberies.

At approximately 1:08 PM, Laredo Police patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Shiloh and Orange Blossom for a reported Robbery call. Officers located a female victim who stated to police that an unknown male subject had assaulted her in the process of stealing her purse. Taken in the robbery was $100.00 dollars in U.S. currency, assorted paperwork, including her immigration Visa. The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a Green vehicle. A lookout was placed on the vehicle.

At approximately 2:39 PM, Laredo Police patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Seymour and Guadalupe Street on a reported robbery call. As the officers arrived they were met by a female victim who reported to the officers that while she was standing by the bus stop at said intersection, an unknown subject grabbed her purse by force and ran away. According to witnesses there were two subjects who were seen running away and got into a 4-door Green Buick vehicle. A lookout was placed on the vehicle.

At approximately 3:25 PM, an officer noticed a Green Buick 4-door vehicle by the area of Buena Vista and Mercer Street, which had been abandoned. As the investigation continued, detectives were able to locate the suspects of the robberies.

Arrested and charged with Two Counts of Robbery- Felony 2 and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity F/1 were:

Alfredo Perez Age: 27
Alfredo Villareal Age: 18
Jose Anthony Soliz Age: 32

Subjects were booked and later transported to the Webb County Jail where a total bond on each suspect was set at $225,000.00 dollars. (75,000.00 for each charge)
