LPD Prostitution Sting nets 15 arrests!

On Friday 05/29/09 and Saturday 05/30/09,  members of the Laredo Police Department’s  Narcotics/Vice Unit, along with the Patrol Division and ATF worked a special detail on the west side of Laredo, primarily on San Bernardo Avenue.  The objective was to locate, identify and arrest anyone soliciting prostitution.  On Friday 05/29/09, five females and one male were arrested for soliciting money for sex from an undercover Laredo Police Officer.  On Saturday, 05/30/09, nine females were arrested for soliciting money for sex from an undercover Laredo Police Officer.  Subsequently, on Saturday, two of the female subjects were also served with outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear from Laredo for prostitution and one female subject was also charged with Possession of a CS F/3 (cocaine).
