The Laredo Entertainment Center, a SMG managed facility, announces the LEC Job Fair 2008. The fair is open to all energetic, self-motivated and dedicated people wanting to join the exciting work environment of the LEC. The job fair will take place Friday, Aug. 22, 12 noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 23, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The facility is located at 6700 Arena Blvd., between Loop 20 and Jacaman Rd.
LEC staff will be on hand to provide information about positions at the facility, including those that are currently open. Potential employees are asked to bring their resumes in hand or a list of their skills, job experiences and references. On-the-spot interviews are also planned.
Part time jobs are available in the areas of: Event Services, Operations, Box Office and Food and Beverage. Specific jobs include: building security, ticket takers, ushers, food preparers and servers, bartenders, beverage and suite attendants and dishwashers. Overnight jobs include event conversion positions and housekeepers.
Employees at the LEC work for SMG, the Philadelphia-based company that manages the premiere 10,000-seat Laredo entertainment facility. SMG manages stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and theaters around the world and is the leader in facility management, marketing and development.
