On Sunday, September 21, 2008 at approximately 11:32 PM, Laredo Police Patrol officers observed two vehicles drag racing east on Saunders St. Patrol officers observed each driving at speeds nearly at 100 MPH. At the 4400 block of E. Saunders, patrol officers initiated a traffic stop on the two vehicles.

After further investigation, the two drivers were then taken into custody. They were transported to Laredo Police Station where they were booked and charged with the following:

Driver #1

Fabiola Esmeralda Hernandez Age: 21
o Child Endangerment – 2 Counts State Jail Felony
(Suspect Hernandez had her two children ages 4 and 4 months)

Driver #2

Rey David Colchado Age: 19
o Drag Racing C/B

Both subjects were then transported to Webb County Jail, pending bond.
