At approximately 1:10 p.m. a Maroon Ford Bronco was seen on Zapata Hwy. A witness said that several people were seen inside the vehicle. (Perhaps an illegal immigrant transport case *still being investigated by Border Patrol). The vehicle was located by the Laredo Police going North on Zapata Hwy. Pd attempted to pull over the SUV but instead accelerated off. The Police sealed off an area after police momentarily lost visual contact with the vehicle. Bronco wound up crashing into the side of a warehouse on Market. The passengers were immediately located and detained. The driver was also located and arrested. Juan Gabriel Gonzalez, 01-30-80, was arrested for Evading Arrest Using a Motor Vehicle State Jail Felony. He was remanded to Webb County Jail. Bond information was not available at the time of this release.
