Child Sexual Predator Arrested!
Held on Bond for over Two Million Dollars!

On 8/13/08, at approx. 10:21 p.m., Officers were radio dispatched to a residence for a call of a sexual assault that had occurred in the last two days. Upon arrival, officers were advised by an adult complainant that her 6 year-old daughter was allegedly sexually assaulted by Humberto Alfredo Boquin Romero, 05-26-61. Romero allegedly showed the child pornographic materials and touched her in a sexual manner. The pornographic materials were recovered at the scene and the suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding Ordinance warrant. Officers transported the victim and the complainant to the Children's Advocacy Center for a forensic interview.

Once at the Children's Advocacy Center, the child “out cried” to several instances/occasions where she was abused by suspect. The suspect was transported to the Webb Co. Jail where he was held on the unrelated ordinance charge. An immigration hold was placed on the suspect due to his illegal status in the United States as a citizen from Honduras. A sexual assault examination was conducted and was found positive for sexual assault. A second victim, age 19, was discovered during the investigation and reported that she too was molested when she was 8 yrs. old by Humberto Alfredo Boquin Romero.

Arrest warrants were secured for 5 counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault & 7 counts of Indecency with child. On 08/29/ 08 the suspect was brought to LPD for booking from CAA Corrections Facility and was remanded to Webb County Jail. He was held on a $2,400,000.00 bond set by Justice of the Peace Hector Liendo.
